{"id":22,"date":"2019-03-11T03:15:15","date_gmt":"2019-03-11T03:15:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.arff.net.au\/?page_id=22"},"modified":"2024-11-01T17:45:45","modified_gmt":"2024-11-01T06:45:45","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/www.arff.net.au\/?page_id=22","title":{"rendered":"About Us"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>WHAT IS ARFF?<\/h2>\n<p>The Australian Recreational Fishing Foundation is the peak representative body to the Australian Federal Government.<\/p>\n<p>It is a partnership between State peak fishing bodies, representative organisations and fish habitat groups.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.arff.net.au\/?page_id=15\">Click here to view ARFF members and supporters.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ARFF is a not for profit organisation with a voluntary Board of recreational fishing strategists.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives of ARFF are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To educate and promote the benefits of sustainable recreational fishing to the public and to ensure the maintenance and growth of fish population throughout Australia;<\/li>\n<li>To educate the fishing community on ethical, environmental and safety aspects of sustainable recreational fishing;<\/li>\n<li>To raise awareness of and promote, the health benefits of sustainable recreational fishing;<\/li>\n<li>To educate the public on how to protect, preserve and care for the environment, whilst recreationally fishing, including land care, flora and fauna and marine conservation;<\/li>\n<li>To promote the accessibility of sustainable recreational fishing activities to persons of all age group, genders and ethnic origins.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>WHAT IS ARFF?
